Effects that force can produce

A force can produce following three effects :-

1. It can bring change in dimensions. For example: In stretching a spring its length increases.
2. It can start or stop motion. For example: a ball moves when kicked.
3. It can change speed or direction of motion. For example: a hockey player changes the speed and direction of motion of the ball by the stick.
