Power is defined as the Rate of doing Work. i.e. ,
Power(P)= Work(W)/ Time(t)
Power can also be defined as the product of Force and Velocity. i.e. ,
Power(P)= Work(W)/Time(t)
Since,
Work(W)= Force(F) x Displacement(d)
Therefore,
Power(P)= Force(F) x Displacement(d)/Time(t)
= Force(F) x(Displacement(d)/Time(t))
As, Displacement x Time= Velocity
Power(P)= Force(F) x Velocity(V)
Note:
Power is a Scaler quantity.
